Omar was born in a remote village in Yemen with a serious congenital heart defect. Doctors told his parents the child would not live long without costly surgery.

Thanks to donations through Al-Afiya Foundation, Omar underwent a successful surgery at a specialized hospital in Turkey. Today he runs and plays like his peers. His mother said: 'I thought I would lose him, but God sent kind people who brought joy back to us.'
